There's something about a new baby, wide eyed and innocent, unaware of the weight of the world and the troubles it can bring, that makes me realize the importance of perspective. As I gaze lovingly at the face of my new baby girl, Sylvie, all of life's baggage just fades away into a Monet-like blur and the important things become more clear. I remember writing in my journal about my first daughter Adelle shortly after she was born. As I watched her sleep, the only thing I could think to write was, "And suddenly, finally, life makes perfect sense." Admiring my little Sylvie, again I can think of nothing more fitting to write. Welcome Sylvie Ann Wright! Born September 13, 2011.
